Senior Accountant, Involved Media

Overview

NOTE: This position is Hybrid with a minimun of 2 days per week in office, located in Pearl River, NY

This position is responsible for accounting activities relative to, but not limited to, financial statement preparation, account analysis and reconciliation, cash flow, audit preparation and internal control maintenance. This position will also have responsibilities related to business analysis, system development and usage and other ad hoc projects as needed. The responsibilities of this role may evolve over time and will include broad responsibilities within the finance team.

Responsibilities

Utilize and apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure to effectively perform accounting activities; and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as well as management plans and policies.Learn and develop skillsets necessary to utilize the current Aqua general ledger and billing system.Utilize Core for various functions including billing and vendor invoice reconciliations. Function as a team member within the finance group including cross training and acting as backup when necessary to the group.Utilize and develop expertise on reporting tools and systems.

Review and perform general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.Ability to move between multiple department tasks including AP, AR, reconciliations, group email responses, etc Maintain and enhance relationships with various internal departments. Assists with and performs ad-hoc duties and projects as required.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities at this time.

The salary for this position is $70,000-85,000. The successful candidate's salary will depend on actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Accounting highly preferred; or equivalent demonstrable work experience. CPA preferred but not required.3-5 years general accounting experience, including general ledger experience.

Proficiency in ERP software. Ability to learn new accounting software.Proficiency in IBM Planning Analytics or similar software preferred. Advanced knowledge in Excel preferred.Excellent analytical and the ability to perform within deadlines.

Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
