The position: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Investment Accounting department in Austin. This position will support both our Austin and Atlanta Investment Accounting departments (no travel required). The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should have excellent organizational and analytical skills and be able to work both independently and within a team. Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our rapidly growing organization. Experience in real estate accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile account balances; prepare/post journal entries and accruals

• Reconcile monthly bank statements for partnership accounts

• Maintain general ledgers for multiple partnerships

• Process accounts payable

• Assist with monthly and quarterly distributions to investors

• Compile financial records for our tax preparers

• Perform various ad hoc information support and reporting tasks as needed

• Perform other accounting duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience as an accountant

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience in Yardi or other real estate-based accounting software a plus
