Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our International General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. This role reports to the Head of Accounting and collaborates closely with other members of the finance leadership team to drive strategic initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our day-to-day accounting operations in our EMEA and APAC regions, adhering to local regulations, and executing month-end transactions and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a deep understanding of international financial standards, and a proven track record of managing GL and AP in a multinational company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, focusing on international GL and AP.

• Coordinate with international tax partners and book-keepers to ensure timely compliance with local statutory and tax regulations.

• Execute month-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline AP processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

• Analyze financial data and reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and compliance.

• Stay informed on changes in local and international accounting regulations and communicating these changes to the broader team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an international or multinational environment.

• Strong knowledge of GL and AP functions, as well as local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Dutch GAAP).

• Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced spreadsheet skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in English. Knowledge of Dutch and Spanish is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
