JOB DESCRIPTION

Supports Accounting department with account analysis, various reconciliations, and monthly close duties.

Key Competencies:

  • Perform variety of month-end closing procedures including preparation of account reconciliations and related journal entries.

  • Review lower level Accountants' work.

  • Analyze financial statement accounts, identify unusual trends or erroneous entries, and verify accuracy of transactions and balances.

  • Evaluate and maintain asset and liability accounts.

  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline month-end close and other finance activities.

  • Research issues that flow through to the general ledger from subledgers and systems and interact with other departments as needed to resolve the root cause of any problems.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures across all departments.

  • Offer/initiate/implement recommendations for improved efficiencies or stronger internal controls.

  • Assist with various projects that are assigned to the Finance Department.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Solid accounting knowledge including GAAP.

  • Strong analytical skills needed for assessing current processes and initiating/executing recommendations for minimizing costs and creating efficiencies.

  • Ability to take direction and communicate effectively with employees at all level of organization.

  • Experience with financial accounting software and MRP/ERP systems is a plus.

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus.

Requirements:

  • CPA preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in the field or related area.

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.

  • Consideration given to equivalent combinations.

Key Responsibilities: * Suggest and implement modifications to existing Analog and Digital electronic designs to meet project reliability requirements. * Help in troubleshooting and testing of FPGA designs implemented in VHDL/Verilog and schematic entry. * Perform component stress analysis and circuit reliability analysis. * Perform analog circuit analysis using LTSpice for functional, load and stress analysis. * Develop specifications for "second generation" system components based on customer requirements and existing "first generation" designs. * Electronic part selection, ordering and testing. * Use and design Linear and Switching power supply circuits to power various electrical designs. * HV Inductor and HV Transformer design. * HV Electronics Circuit design. * Audio and Class-C Amplifier Matching Network Design. * Acoustic ceramic element signal amplification and design. * Work with and design various single and multi-phase AC circuits. * Orcad Schematic entry and modifications for new and current circuit designs. * Assist in the circuit card layout by working with a layout designer and specifying component placement and layout requirements. * Document and release design changes to existing designs. * Work well in an engineering environment with little supervision. * Support peer and customer reviews with documentation and presentation material. * Support customer training at the factory and in the field. * Document designs using drawing releases and engineering change orders. * Troubleshoot and test electronic circuits and systems. * Support circuit and system testing both first-hand and by assisting/supervising junior technicians and junior engineers. * Assist in electrical component engineering.
