SALARY RANGE
The expected salary range is $110,000 to $140,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional that strives to consistently exceed expectations, thrives in a challenging workplace, and who can actively contribute to our talented team.
The Senior Accountant will have a broad range of responsibilities that could include, but are not limited to, preparing monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, allocations of expenses, analyzing trends in data, consolidating company operating information for internal and external financial reporting, and preparing quarterly and annual financial statements. Will also assist in designing, preparing, reviewing and analyzing management reports. Identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvements for the department focusing on controls.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING
Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close procedures on both a GAAP and STAT basis for financial and regulatory reports.
Prepares and/or review reconciliations and schedules to support general ledger balances and related financial reporting.
Preparation and review of financial statements and any ad hoc reporting including work paper preparation and footnote disclosures.
Assist with the design, preparation and analysis of management reports, Board of Director presentations, etc.
Create and perform ad hoc queries, analysis, and/or analytics upon request.
Recommends process improvements and drives change.
Other duties as required.

Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word or other database applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting.
A Plus: Master's Degree from an accredited college/university.
Required: Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
Required: Advance Excel Skills.
A Plus: Previous insurance experience.
A Plus: Experience with Oracle Fusion, SmartView
A Plus: Certified Public Accountant.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others meetings or via phone.
Ability to travel as necessary for business reasons.
