National Indemnity Company seeks a Sr. Accountant I to work in Omaha, NE to coordinate, compile, review, analyze, reconcile and interpret financial information from various sources and prepare working papers and internal, statutory and GAAP basis financial statements.

Coordinates the preparation and analysis of the financial statements including related internal controls, reconciliations, and management reporting, including GAAP financial statements. Participates in development and maintenance of the Company's accounting policies and coordinates Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for various companies and business segments. Oversight for the company's Letter of Credit (LOC) activities. Will verify and monitor Traditional Reinsurance division disbursements to ensure timely and accurate execution of payment requests.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or related field and 3 years of experience after attainment or a Master's degree in business administration, accounting or related field and 1 year of experience after attainment. The candidate must also have a Certified Public Accountant certificate and 1 year of work experience with investment types, general accounting principles, financial reporting principles and statutory accounting principals.

Must be able to work substantial amounts of overtime as required to meet certain seasonal deadlines.

This position allows for remote work but the candidate must travel to headquarters in Omaha, NE on a regular basis as required.

In accordance with state pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith salary range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this job is $88,657.11 - $111,000 annually based on the primary posting location of Omaha, Nebraska. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.

Eligible employees receive up to 11 days of vacation time, 65 days (85 day maximum in a two-year period) of sick pay, up to 20 days of paid parental time, seven paid holidays, two floating holidays and potential for a discretionary bonus.
