What you'll do

As a member of the Global Accounting team, the Senior Accountant is a key member in ensuring high quality and timely global consolidated financial statement reporting and local statutory reporting requirements for entities located across the EMEA and Asia regions. Acts as a key resource to the organization for accounting guidance and support.

The Senior Accountant is a full-time role located in the UK and reports to the EMEA Controller. Paid relocation is not available for this position.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting activities across multiple legal entities and accounts according to U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Firm standards in support of the firm's global and EMEA consolidated financial statement reporting.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring adherence to local GAAP. Collaborate with third-party accounting firms to ensure accuracy and compliance along with timely reporting in accordance with statutory filing deadlines.

  • Act as key point of contact for external auditors and provide audit coordination and support.

  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and adapt our reporting processes accordingly, ensuring the continual development of expertise related to local statutory reporting.

  • Perform monthly financial statement analytical review procedures.

  • Complete or assist in timely and accurate tax accounting and compliance; liaising with third-party accounting firms for corporation tax and VAT computation and return completion.

  • Prepare other ad hoc local reporting requirements including preparation and submission filings with regulatory bodies.

  • Perform ad-hoc projects and support Firm initiatives as assigned.

  • Identify opportunities to further leverage financial systems; improve efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external financial reporting.

  • Act as a business partner to colleagues across functions and consulting communities. Proactively provide information and solutions. Serve as a key resource to the organization for accounting and financial reporting guidance and support.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in accounting required.

  • CPA with minimum 3 years public accounting experience required (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred).

  • Fluent in both English and German. Other languages a plus.

  • Advanced and broad analytical and technical accounting skills.

  • Self-motivated. Initiates activities with high degree of drive, passion, and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Refines work processes and deliverables to ensure a great customer experience.

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and under time constraints.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience with SAP4HANA a plus.

  • Forms sustainable relationships with colleagues within and across functional areas.

  • Avid curiosity and eagerness to learn and explore.
