Job Summary

The primary role of the Senior Accountant position is to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidation, and entering transactions. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for general accounting reconciliation process as well as serving as a back-up to the Accounts Payable function. The will also participate in the Bank's internal and external reporting processes, to include SEC reporting.

Essential Job Functions

• Daily duties to include correspondent bank reconciliations including the Federal Reserve reconciliation and oversight.

• Maintain fixed assets processing, accrual processing and prepaid processing.

• Assist in the monthly close process, complete monthly internal reports, and complete monthly, quarterly and year-end reconciliations.

• Assist in financial reporting process including management and regulatory reporting. This includes participating in quarterly SEC reporting, quarterly Call Reports and other regulatory reporting requirements.

• Assist with quarterly and annual regulatory, external and internal audits.

• Serve in a reserve role for Accounts Payable.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university, or equivalent working experiences in the field of banking or accounting.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience in banking industry is highly desirable.

• Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within the organization

• Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data

• Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus
