First Eagle is seeking a candidate for a Senior Accountant role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the below responsibilities and have the following qualifications for this role:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and post daily general ledger transactions, monthly trial balance, and various supporting schedules for financial statements for four entities

  • Prepare the month-end and year-end closing process

  • Prepare and update monthly trial balance, asset and flows and other required reports

  • Coordinate year-end audit with external auditors

  • Monthly accruals and prepaid amortization

  • Coordinate with affiliate office and prepare monthly consolidated financial statements

  • Prepare year end standalone and consolidated financial statements

  • Review daily cash receipts, disbursements and expense allocation journal entries

  • Reconcile accounts receivable; resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis

  • Review daily cash reconciliations and monthly cash projection report

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as needed

  • Perform revenue and cost trend analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly broker dealer filings with the SEC and FINRA

  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the deputy controller's attention

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

  • CPA preferred but not required, with both public and private experience

  • 7+ years of experience in combination of management company and fund accounting with an asset management or financial services firm; knowledge and experience in broker dealer preferred

  • Big 4 experience preferred

  • Strong background in GAAP compliance and research

  • Strong analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative

  • Intermediate to advanced skill with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software - SAP Business One a plus

  • Meticulous and great attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be a resourceful self-starter, with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • A collegial and collaborative team player; ability to work with all levels of employees

  • Strong sense of personal accountability and a work ethic to do what it takes to get the job done

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to handle a diverse workload simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsible for interaction with operations, finance, legal, tax and third parties to ensure complete understanding of complex nature of the relationships and the appropriate accounting for these transactions, of which some may include various foreign currencies. Responsible for preparation of monthly journal entries, as well as balance sheet and income statement account analysis. Roles & Responsibilities: * Responsible for the entire close process including researching and posting month end journal entries. * Responsible for preparation of quarterly reporting package schedules for internal and external reporting purposes. * Analyze and properly record various types of multi-currency entries. * Prepare account reconciliations, research and resolve any account reconciling items. * Supports the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and supporting analyses, along with meaningful commentary to explain results/variances to various levels within the organization. * Review and streamline/improve existing processes; document processes for training, internal audit and SOX purposes. Compile and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. * Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility. * Supports external audit requests by providing account analyses and support for selections. * Research and maintain current knowledge of GAAP requirements for accurate reporting of various issues. * Prepare and evaluate month-end budget analysis for assigned departments and respond to inquiries from managers. * Evaluate and approve payment requests for assigned departments. * Other finance projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed. Requirements: * A minimum of a BS degree in Accounting/Finance and a CPA. * Minimum 4 years of accounting experience. * Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role. * Big-4 Public/private background. * Experience in media and entertainment industry is a plus. * Knowledge of NetSuite or equivalent. * System savvy, in depth understanding of system integrations. * Advanced Excel skills. * Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership. * Positive attitude and dependable team player. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision, and effective writing, presentation and communication skills.
