This position is part of the External Reporting team in Booking Holdings' corporate finance organization. The Sr. Accountant will interface with the BH Team and Brand personnel at various levels of the Company, as well as with internal and external auditors. Primary responsibilities include accounting research, drafting accounting policies and memos, providing technical support and assisting in the preparation of filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC").

Provide technical support to members of the worldwide Finance and Accounting team on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
Research, evaluate and document technical accounting implications of complex or non-standard transactions
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards
Maintain the accounting policies manual and assist in updating or developing new policies to ensure consistency and compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, including XBRL information, review of financial statements/ disclosures and coordination with internal and external auditors
Participate in SOX compliance efforts in relation to internal controls over financial reporting
Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to simplify, standardize and streamline external reporting
Strong technical accounting foundation

Demonstrated ability to work independently and work well with people at a wide range of levels
Ability to build key working relationships with the Corporate Accounting and Finance team and accounting teams in the business units around the world.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
4-year college degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience with a working knowledge of SEC reporting;
Knowledge of Hyperion HFM and XBRL filing process a plus
