The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and government regulations and laws. This role involves working closely with restaurant managers and the finance team to maintain the financial health of the company. Given the Company's fast paced culture and aggressive growth goals, this hire will be ambitious, curious, collaborative, and able to demonstrate a high level of self-awareness and accounting knowledge. This is hybrid role with opportunities for growth and advancements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.

• Must have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of various business cycles (Revenue Cycle, Accounts Receivable Cycle, Accounts Payable Cycle, Inventory Cycle, Payroll and Treasury Cycle)

• Oversee inventory management and valuation, including regular weekly physical counts and month-end valuation counts and performance reconciliation and/or investigation on inventory count variance reports.

• Accounts Receivable reconciliations with 3rd Partners (UberEats, Doordash, Grubhub, etc.)

• Good understanding of month-end process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, maintain reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Assist Department Heads, Regional Directors in researching any discrepancies or problem highlighted in the financial reporting and non-financial request.

• Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.

• Lead and/or assist with the company's financial annual audit in the preparation and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.

• Lead and/or assist with the company's taxes and/or gather tax document

• Assist with the preparation and filing of Sales & Use Taxes (Multiple States)

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Finance.

• Have a working knowledge of all areas in Accounting and Finance to ensure that coverage can be provided for employees on vacation or on leave.

• Support the SVP Finance with special reports and/or request as needed.
