This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and Worldwide Controller within the Corporate Finance department. Responsibilities include working with the international finance teams to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and US GAAP, as well as accounting for acquisitions, special compensation agreements and equity. Other responsibilities include monthly variance analyses, account reconciliations, and assistance with the worldwide consolidation and year-end audit.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Review foreign office financial information; review and post journal entries as needed

  • Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting and quarterly financial statements

  • Assist with establishing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting

  • Assist with monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts

  • Assist with duties in preparation for year-end audit

  • Assist with the accounting for business combinations and non-controlling interests; review and update accounting for contingent consideration post-acquisition

  • Review key employee compensation arrangements and determine proper accounting treatment; review and update compensation accruals

  • Compile the annual goodwill impairment analysis

  • Assist with the monitoring of compliance with international statutory reporting and filings

  • Assist with technical accounting research and memos, new accounting pronouncements, and accounting policies

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting system and all modules related to areas of responsibility

  • Gather and submit information to governmental agencies for census data requests

  • Coordinate and maintain budgets for certain Corporate departments

  • Coordinate Company stock transactions, maintain documents, ensure recording of transactions in the financial system

  • Assist on special projects for executive management

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills combined with an accountable and "can do" attitude to manage and complete projects on time

  • Stay current on appropriate accounting and tax rules and regulations affecting areas of responsibilities

A bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA are required, with a minimum four years of experience. Experience in Hyperion, PeopleSoft, financial statement analysis and international accounting are all a plus. Other qualifications include:
