We are a high growth casual restaurant chain with locations all over the US. You've probably seen our commercials, eaten at our restaurants, and hopefully you might even be a regular.

Don't let our casual dining experience fool you though, our corporate offices are looking for the best and brightest to fill our ranks. Due to our growing pains and fast paced environment, we are looking for solid Big 4 backgrounds for our accounting roles.

If you are a Big 4 background out of external audit, please read on!

What You Will Be Doing

This is a critical role that is essential to helping us keep our engines humminig. The role touches up on corporate accounting,general ledger, financial reporting, P&L's, bank covenants, and more.

What You Need for this Position

The ideal candidate will be 3-5 years straight out of Big 4 external audit (large national like BDO and RSM is OK too). For an exceptional candidate, we would be open to see someone as light as a 2 year Big 4 candidate.

Restaurant clients are a plus but not at all required. For a heavier candidate, we can give this an Associate Manager title.So, if you are a Big 4 background out of external audit, please apply today!

You will also recommend and implement process improvements to driveefficiencies in the organization and present conclusions to senior management,as well as refining business processes across groups. Typicalresponsibilities: * Interpret and apply GAAP and regulatory decisions in preparing transactions, documenting accounting policies, as well as providing accounting guidance to various operating units and assessing impact to the financial statements. * Responsible for preparing the entire AFUDC (Allowance for Funds Used During Construction) calculation and reporting process. * Prepare and review month-end accounting of accruals, for financial and regulatory purposes. * Prepare and execute monthly close processes related to fixed assets and the plant sub-ledger * Complete assigned work order analysis to facilitate the proper disposition of work orders * Perform financial statement variance explanations related to fixed assets * Perform monthly variance analysis including identifying key drivers, working closely with stakeholders, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances within work orders. * Complete data and transaction processing analysis involving work order and billings for proper disposition, including validating integrity of charges and resolving issues. * Perform quarterly and annual compliance reporting and support data request for various regulatory agencies. MinimumRequirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field * Five or more years of experience in Accounting or related field * Experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Experience performing account reconciliations and variance analysis * Proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise software * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite DesiredQualifications: * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) * Experience in a public accounting firm and/or utility environment * Knowledge of regulated companies * Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate accounting issues and business processes * Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations * Ability to work in a team setting and work across functions and departments in analyzing information developing information and solutions * Strong ethics, influence and negotiation skills, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and handle stress and engage in continuous learning * Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices Comments: * The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, California. * Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. * Relocation does not apply to this position.
