Cresco Labs is seeking a Senior Account to join our corporate finance team in Chicago, IL. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in reporting and reconciliation of accounting functions. This individual will analyze financial statements to find and resolve any discrepancies. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail.


  • Assist with internal monthly and quarterly closing reports

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Implementation of additional accounting modules and add on reporting systems

  • Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process with external auditors

  • Complies external facing reports for investors and partners

  • Work cross functionally with all company departments

  • Implement accounting policies and procedures as company expands in to new and established markets


  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related field

  • 3+ years accounting experience (public accounting preferred)

  • CPA desirable

  • Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow through on assigned tasks

  • Experience with financial accounting systems (Intacct helpful)

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required

  • Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner


  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

As an Accountant, you will have general oversight of assigned processes within the monthly and quarterly consolidation and SEC reporting process, including the preparation of journal entries, financial statements and footnotes. Position Responsibilities: * Monthly consolidation of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and consolidating support schedules from business units. * Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings such as 10-Q and 10-K, including drafting footnote disclosures, Management Discussion & Analysis, completing GAAP checklists, preparing support tie-out packages, and researching technical guidance as needed. * Prepare variance analysis of consolidated income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows * Completing XBRL tagging for SEC filings and manage SEC filings within Workiva WDesk. * Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g. ASC 842 Leases) * Assist with the creation of supporting materials for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee * Assist in preparing and providing support to external auditors * Other duties include review of the Annual Report and other SEC filings as needed (e.g. 8-Ks, Conflict Mineral, Debt Offerings) * Ensure continued compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act * Completion of certain government census reports * Provide analysis and insight for other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed.
