JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant assists in developing and implementing processes to support accurate reporting of Financial Results.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares weekly bank reconciliations and resolve issues prior to month end
Participates in monthly closing process for Financial Reporting
Resolves discrepancies by working with other departments within the company
Prepares and posts journal entries, with proper approvals, including documents for support
Completes account analysis and reconciliations using SAP accounting records and Esker document handling software
Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolution of reconciling items
Provides financial support to subsidiaries/divisions
Assists with maintaining internal control procedures
Assists with process walkthroughs, providing support documentation and other interactions with auditors
Run SAP reports and prepares and reviews internal management reports in Excel
Creates and maintains documentation of processes and procedures related to primary responsibilities
Participate in periodic inventory count validation
Other Duties/Responsibilities as assigned
QUALFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required; Accounting strongly preferred
5-7 years of recent accounting experience
Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization and with external business partners
Requires high degree of professionalism, sound judgement, and good written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
Must demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work well with deadlines and to manage multiple activities, projects, and priorities
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
