The Senior Accountant performs full-cycle month-end close duties for multiple venues as well as comprehensive analytical work in various management areas including financial reporting. They will interface directly with location General Managers to drive better financial performance and must possess a solid understanding of GAAP.
* Responsible for full month end closing for multiple restaurants
* Processes monthly accruals, prepaids, depreciation/amortization, etc.
* Review all inter-company and related party transactions and generate invoices as necessary
* Reconciles balance sheet accounts
* Generates financial statements for month end close
* Assists with cash management for assigned venues
* Posts daily sales, cash deposits, and bank transfers
* Analyzes budgetary, financial, and statistical data and makes recommendations on the basis of conclusions derived from such analyses.
* Analyzes and verifies monthly financial reports for all venues
* Participates in the budget process for their respected venues
* Prepares allocations for multi-location invoices
* Selects checks for weekly check run
* Works with third party accounts payable company to reconcile vendor accounts
* Responds to any immediate vendor requests
* Assists venue General Managers with accounting related issues
* Assists with financial and tax audits
* Handles special projects and creates customized reports as needed
* A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multi-entity Restaurants, or Hospitality accounting and/or finance is preferred
* BA or BS Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required
* 5-7 years total work experience in accounting is ideal
* Experience with CTUIT Radar and Intacct is a plus
This position will interface with various departments, vendors and clientele. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. They must be proficient with MS Office including strong knowledge of Excel, and have experience working with an integrated general ledger system package.
They must also demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and exhibit composure and professionalism while under pressure. They must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting constant deadlines and maintaining strong attention to details.
