Senior Accountant

The candidate must be able to perform a variety of duties within the Accounting department at Columbia Forest Products, Greensboro, NC corporate office. The primary duties include:

• General accounting duties including accounts payable, production reporting, and intercompany reconciliations

• Assist with month end close process including journal entries and reconciliations

• Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• Good written and verbal skills with the ability to work as part of a team

• Assist with annual budget process

• Assist with monthly financial analysis

• Assist with fixed asset and lease accounting

• Other tasks/projects as assigned

The candidate will also perform routine data entry and supporting tasks for office staff in the areas of accounts payable, account receivable, billing/invoicing, and financial statement preparation. Other duties as may be assigned.

Desired Education / Experience:

• Hold an accounting degree from an accredited university

• At least five years of accounting work experience

• CPA (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with other accounting software is also a plus.

• Have effective Communication skills, both written and verbal.
