The General Accounting and Reporting group is responsible for managing the general ledger and financial close cycle for all Change Healthcare business units. This position will operate in a shared service model across matrix organizations, working directly with individuals in various groups across the company (FP&A, Project Managers, Payroll, etc). This position will be involved in areas, such as Cash, Prepaid, Intercompany Transactions and support project accounting.
1.Perform accounting duties related to month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
2.Perform expense review and record possible capitalizable and prepaid activity.
3.Review prepaids and book entries as necessary.
4.Reconcile and manage cash accounts.
5.Prepare and record elimination entries as necessary.
6.Provide support for project accounting.
7.Provide support for audit requests as needed.
8.Assist with various ad-hoc project requests as needed.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
BS or BBA in Accounting required
Masters degree preferred
CPA or CPA track preferred
5 years with a Bachelor's degree
3 years with a Master's degree
Public accounting experience a plus
Demonstrate ability to apply US GAAP, system and process knowledge to business issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent organization and planning skills with ability to work well under pressure and in an environment of change.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, HFM and TM1 and plus
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Ex
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.)
Physical Requirement (Lifting, standing, etc.)
Work Postures: Position is essentially sedentary; incumbent spends approximately 90% of the time in a sitting position and 10% of the time walking and standing. Utilizes manual dexterity to type and use computer, telephone and other office equipment.
Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting/carrying of boxes and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Equipment: Frequently, approximately 80% of the time, uses a computer, copy machine, and fax machine.
Visual Acuity: Proofreads written information. Reads information on computer screens. Works with printed copy as well as with detail displayed on computer screens.
Hearing: Position entails a significant amount of talking and listening including regular phone contact, incoming and outgoing.
Work Hours: Primarily 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
Travel: None expected.
