Tri Star Sports & Entertainment is looking for high-performing Senior Accountant to join our Business Management team located in Nashville.

The Senior Accountant would need a strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures and would be reporting up to the Accounting Manager. In addition, this individual will:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in adherence to business management related policies and procedures, including posting journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, workers comp audits, etc.

  • Prepare and present financial analysis, long term cash flow analysis, and P&L reporting solutions.

  • Work directly with the Accounting Manager in recording and assessing estate planning, assets purchases, and investments.

  • Monitor insurance renewals and claims for both institution and individual clients.

  • Review cash management to monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues.

  • Review work and accuracy of Staff Accountants (AP/AR, cash receipts, payroll, etc.).

  • Handle ad hoc projects as needed.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience within a public accounting firm and/or the entertainment industry OR 5+ years of bookkeeping experience for high net-worth individuals.

  • Experience using QuickBooks and Excel.

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or Music Business with strong academic record.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across the organization.

  • Extremely detail-oriented to create accurate and timely reports.

  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude & a fit with the companys culture & values.

The services provided range from partnership accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and bill payment, to coordinating information for tax returns. POSITION SUMMARY This position of Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Family Office group providing diversified administrative and day-to-day financial support to the Family Office & Wealth Advisors Management Team in the service of our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of professional services and client service. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Client Service * Has a close working relationship with clients. Interface with clients and their families as necessary, providing them with a high level of service * Assists with obtaining financing for clients * Manages clients' daily financial activities and coordinates with clients as needed * Understands clients' investments, assets, liabilities, expenditures, and related transactions * Prepares various reports as requested by the client * Manages client bank accounts * Coordinate services with outside advisors and service providers such as lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, bankers, investment advisors, etc as needed by the client * Coordinates with insurance carriers for renewals and coverage changes * Prepares bills/sends wires as needed for bill payment or investments * Deposits funds into clients bank accounts * Maintain clients files and records * Keeps various schedules of income, etc. as needed by clients * Records investment activity * Prepares medical claims Financial Statements * Maintain General Ledger * Direct responsibility for cash management process and accounting for high net worth clients including preparations of deposits, accounts payable, domestic payroll, and bank reconciliations * Prepares financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow Payroll and Tax * Process payroll for clients * Prepare payroll tax returns and make payroll tax deposits * Organizes and prepares tax information for tax preparation Leadership / Staff Development * Works closely with senior managers and partners in the firm regarding client issues/needs and financial statements * Assist Staff Accountants to insure accurate and efficient work flow QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS * Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred * Minimum 3 years of accounting work experience is required * Accounts payable or bookkeeping experience * High attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curious * Experience using QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based accounting software * Proficiency in use of computers & general comfort with technology * Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information * Ability to meet time constraints and client deadlines * Experience within a family office, business management or similar setting preferred HIGHLIGHT OF LBMC'S BENEFITS | PERKS * Employee development, training, and coaching programs * Paid rewards for forward thinking through the Innovation Center * Paid maternity/paternity/adoptive leave * Summer Flex Fridays * CPA exam bonuses * Dress for your work day * Quarterly office parties Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC And Affiliates Nashville TN
