Senior Accountant

Banyan Search is assisting a Triad corporation with their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a newly created position due to the growth being experienced by this privately held company. The position will report to and work closely with the Controller on a variety of accounting duties. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:

• Assist with month end close process
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Oversee accounting department staff and accounting operations including A/R, A/P
• Prepare cost and/or inventory reports
• Help with documentation of accounting processes in maintaining internal controls
• Assist with preliminary and year end audit preparation

Qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant role will possess the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years’ experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with general ledger functions and month end closings
• Experience with preparing financial statements
• Ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle multiple assignments
