IN SUMMARY...
We are looking for a diligent staff accountant to join our accounting department. The staff accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the Assistant Controller as needed, responding to information requests by management, and for auditing purposes.
To be successful as a staff accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). An outstanding staff accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO...
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Analyze vendor expenses and audit for GP reports.
AR Invoicing
AR Collections with clients to discuss payment issues
Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger
Reconcile G/L accounts and bank statements
Conduct month-end activities and prepare monthly financial statements.
Aid Auditors in preparation of the audit process.
Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company.
Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

High degree of attention to detail and multi-tasking
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ownership and pride in work product
Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
2+ years of accounting experience.
