Senior Accountant

Mission

The Senior Accountant is a key role within the Finance department, taking responsibility for general accounting and reporting functions. This position reports to the Assistant Business Controller

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes balance sheet accounts reconciliations. Understand and solve pending items in the reconciliations.

• Interact with other departments to investigate and work in the root cause of anomalies.

• Variance analysis of key cost drivers.

• Ensure accuracy of entries to general ledger.

• Assist with the monthly close process and financial statements reporting.

• Internal controls: actively participate in policies and procedures implementation and improvement.

• Process and innovation: actively participate in process and systems improvements and development, including SAP implementation planned for upcoming months.

• Assist the year-end audit process including liaising with auditors as necessary.

• Other duties as assigned.

What we expect from you?

Experience•

• 4+ years of previous experience in a related role

• Working experience with SAP

• Power BI knowledge and advanced Excel

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent work experience

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good planning and organizational skills.

• Strong team player.
