Selected for the past nine years as Best Place to Work for companies our size by the Philadelphia Business Journal, we are looking for a talented Senior Accountant with FP&A skills to join our Finance team.

This position is responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, including account analysis and reconciliation, monthly journal entries, and spreadsheet modeling in support of the departments responsibilities for budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting and analysis. It involves monthly, quarterly and ad hoc analysis of financial and operating results. The reports and conclusions provide critical information in support of management with strategic and operating decisions.

Significant general ledger experience

Experience with project accounting

Experience with Microsoft CRM, NetSuite OpenAir, Adaptive, and Microsoft SL system experience preferred

Proficient in the complete suite of Microsoft Office products

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required

B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
5+ years of experience in finance and accounting

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively field questions, discuss financial issues, explain analysis and support financial tracking of key projects.

Highly developed teamwork and technical skills combined with the desire to continuously improve systems and processes that will scale with the business.

Aptitude to process financial data and formulate analytical reports and reconciliations. Ability to think strategically from high level with consideration for broader implications of various alternatives.

Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects.

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for external financial reporting which satisfies the requirements of relevant stakeholders including but not limited to shareholders, debt holders, boards of directors, workers councils, security analysts, rating agencies and other interested parties. Responsible for internal financial reporting which satisfies the needs of Corporate and BU management. Applies generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements, company policies and procedures necessary to maintain the requisite books and records of the Corporation and Subisidiaries. Understands the company's business strategy and operates successfully, with minimal supervision. Key Qualifications * Undergraduate degree in Accounting required * CPA / public accounting experience highly desirable * Experience in general, cost, and project accounting * Minimum of 2 years of experience in all areas of GAAP, including services cost accounting and revenue recognition * Strong Microsoft Office / Excel skills * Database skills such as creating tables, defining relationships, developing queries, linking and importing data * Effective communication skills expressed through conversation, instructing, written memos, written work instructions and flow charts * Strong analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to successfully summarize data and trends * Ability to work in a team environment and lead special projects * Ability to set priorities and handle multiple deadlines * Strong customer service focus, initiative * Knowledge of Oracle, Blackline or other major Financial Systems preferred * Audit experience helpful Key Responsibilities * Provides day to day support to accurately record transactions in the accounting system(s) following proper internal controls * Provides comprehensive accounting services and has technical knowledge to solve complex problems * Performs and/or reviews account reconciliations * Creates analytics based on the review of monthly financial reports and in support of the Quarterly Accounting Reviews * Creates, reviews or processes manual journal entries as needed * Develops or collaborates in special projects as required by senior leadership Unisys Blue Bell PA
