Accountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a temporary opportunity with a well-known regional company! As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.

Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables primarily in the compensation area (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) ? Prepare monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting ? Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests. ? Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) ? Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors ? Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations ? Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process ? Participate in various department-wide initiatives ? Requirements
Qualifications ? BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred ? 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience ? Oracle 11i or higher, or other ERP system experience ? Strong Excel skills required ? Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus ? Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a plus ? Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment ? Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance ? Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required ? Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers ? Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines ? Strong time management and organizational skills ? Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently Desired Skills ? Hyperion systems ? Essbase/Smartview experience a plus ? Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems ? Experience in SOX control execution/documentation ? Equipment lease accounting experience

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Position Summary: Digi International is looking for an Accountant to work closely with the Assistant Controller to help manage the day to day accounting responsibilities for one of the Company's business units. The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the accounting team that will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, general accounting activities including journal entries, general ledger analysis, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and travel expense accounting/compliance. This will be a key position in the group and will be heavily relied upon to ensure accurate financial information is produced and appropriate accounting controls are followed. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: * Assist with month-end close procedures including journal entry preparation, reconciliations and variance analysis of expenses versus budget/forecast. * Ensure an appropriate system of documentation is maintained and all transactions are recorded in a timely manner including proper recording of accruals and reserves. * Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. * Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. * Prepare daily and monthly reports as needed by department (ie. cash reports, daily sales reports, bank reconciliation reports etc.) * Assist in the audit process and work with outside auditors by providing assistance with quarter and year end audit preparation including schedules and analysis. * Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data. * Implement process and system improvements as needed by the business and ensure the appropriate accounting treatment is setup. * Assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls and procedures. * Provide management with the financial information necessary to make sound policy decisions. * Provide assistance on other projects as assigned Position Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2-4 years of experience, CPA preferred * Strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. * Intermediate/Advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required and NetSuite experience preferred but not required. * Strong working knowledge of GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new GAAP guidance. * Ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management. * Prior experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and achieving solutions under deadlines. * Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes.
