The Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Account Manager role will be a critical partner in both supporting sales and working externally with clients, while driving process and execution cross-functionally with internal teams. This role will differ from a conventional Account Manager position, in that the ideal candidate will possess not only a firm grasp of the needs and methods of Tier 1 performance advertisers, but both the sales and operational savvy to help build and rapidly scale our performance marketing team from the ground up.
The expectations placed on the Senior Account Manager role within the Performance & Direct Response team are largely similar to that of the broader Client Services team at Roku but will have a few key differences. As a member of this team, you will need to bring a breadth of experience working with brands & advertisers who are hyper focused on outcome-based media buying and the methods used to measure. The ideal candidate is highly comfortable and familiar communicating with advertisers about their measurement objectives, recommending attribution models and measurement solutions, and providing a consultative perspective to performance marketers about how Roku supports their objectives. You will need to evangelize the unique benefits of OTT advertising and drive adoption of our platform for all types of performance-based media buyers. This position is part of one of the most rapidly growing teams at Roku and will likely involve managing a team; direct management experience is a plus.
In addition to maintaining an external, client-services perspective at all times, this key team member is integral in collaborating with internal business & operations teams to develop & streamline workflows, optimize campaigns, and ensure seamless end-to-end campaign execution. This individual will have a passion for data, process and customer success and will be closely aligned with other client services team members and cross-functional groups. This position requires strong communication skills and strong attention to detail, in a faced paced sales environment.
As a Senior Account Manager within the Direct Response and performance sales team, you will work to simultaneously support sales as well driving process and facilitating execution internally. Account Managers at Roku are involved in each step of launch, execution & post- sales from client launches to billing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Be comfortable presenting insights, data & campaign metrics during client meetings and/or QBRs.
Serve as the lead day-to-day POC for advertiser/ad agency relationships on campaign management
Pro-actively manage renewal and up-sell opportunities for all current clients
Partner closely with Ad Ops & other Business Operations Teams on campaign activations & optimizations.
Frequent monitoring & reporting campaigns status to key stakeholders including external and internal campaign updates, recaps & useful insights, screen grabs, and video captures.
Ensure on time & ease of launch for clients for all product offerings
Serve as the liaison between the client, Roku creative services and ad operation teams support Roku Best Practices & Ad Guidelines on design and approach for assets.
Provide regularly scheduled communications and campaign updates with clients and internal stakeholders you are responsible for keeping all parties informed and on schedule, a monumental and complex task
Develop a keen understanding of how the Roku platform and unique ad products will deliver brand value in support of the clients advertising goals.
Support Roku billing efforts for our clients from invoice to payout
Experience/Qualifications
5-7 years of agency or direct-client experience
Required experience working with performance advertisers or brands; D2C experience a plus
Management experience a plus
Experience working with, or in-depth knowledge of, core performance marketing platforms Google Adwords, Facebook Ads Manager is preferred
Experience in display and video advertising with a premium publisher or agency
Experience in Programmatic video executions and workflows.
Reporting intelligence with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint & Tableau
Strong desire for collaboration, creative brainstorms and proactive client engagement
Familiar with commercial digital ad serving tools for video and display
Analytical, project management, deadline-drive, and process-oriented personality
Self-starter, comfortable working in fast-paced, growing environment
Bachelors degree or equivalent
