Senior Account Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Account Manager will manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth while driving new business opportunities. This role combines account management and business development responsibilities, requiring a proactive approach to client engagement, sales growth, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the builder landscape, and a proven track record in both account management and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and issues.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and the broader market.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for account expansion and new client acquisition.

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to account growth and new business development.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products/services.

  • Manage client projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all client requirements are met.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to prevent them.

  • Address and resolve client complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.

  • Prepare regular reports on account status, including sales metrics, client feedback, and performance against targets.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.

  • Provide recommendations for improving client satisfaction and account performance.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role.

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the building industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events (25% expected).

  • Customer-focused with a proactive attitude.

  • Highly organized and able to work independently.

  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
