As a successful Senior Account Manager, you will possess a keen ability to position "end to end" solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies to senior customer executives. Your knowledge of running a territory includes forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short term, mid term, long term opportunity management are a validated part of your successes evident by your over-achievement of quota.

Who You Are

Role & Responsibilities

  • You have the ability to call at multiple levels within your customer accounts leading partner relationships and account planning with an extended team.

  • You are aggressive, self-starters that can build executive relationships, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, create the demand and close deals.

  • You will prospect, replace incumbents and successfully lead your customer install base. Will be responsible for negotiating solutions on business issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy coupled by working on complex technical accounts taking care of CXO and other key decision makers.

  • You will be required to travel up to 15% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree or equivalent

  • You have 10+ years selling into Federal Civilian agencies, executive and technical level, and IT solution sales experience running a sales territory

  • Extensive experience selling to CXO personnel

  • You have proven an understanding of government contracts and procurement vehicles

  • You possess strong communication skills coupled with superior negotiation skills at CXO level

  • Data networking technical knowledge strongly preferred.

  • You have a validated and successful sales background developing a business strategy and multi-year business plan,collaboration, partnership, and delivery of customer success by working

  • You have sold to government customers in Federal Civilian agencies ; specifically extensive at executive and technical level.

  • Experience selling into large accounts and complex solutions

  • Preferred work location of Herndon,VA or in the surrounding areas (Washington, DC Metro area)

Position Summary: Position can be located in Herndon VA or Mobile, AL Within the framework of the consolidated North America General Procurement organization, the incumbent is responsible for the local management of one or more entities covering the Account Management activities as well as local Fulfillment Management (Operations and Local Sourcing). The incumbent drives the operational compliance to the General Procurement Process and Global strategies supporting the alignment between divisions. The KAM is responsible to ensure a positive internal customer relationship with the procurement organization. Primary Responsibilities: * Integration of teams: o Manage the evolution of the North American General Procurement organization and ensure the suitability of local conditions for the General Procurement staff while ensuring all operational activities and local sourcing are not interrupted. Collaborate with other Airbus functions to facilitate the ongoing sustainability of procurement operations for the designated team(s). o Serves as a champion of change that results in improved operations and financial measures. Account Management: o General Procurement Focal point for Management and Operations in assigned customer organizations and entities. o Manage the relationship with internal business partners to achieve target levels of customer satisfaction for assigned site and divisions. Works closely with the Regional Director of General Procurement and drives local multi-functional teams (MFTs) to maximize visibility on procurement planning. o Establish and ensure regular two-way communication with key functional and local customers; manage the integration with General Procurement in North America and worldwide. o Participate in and convene meetings between appropriate Airbus leaders and other meetings with key actors engaged in the general procurement process to address their questions and concerns and collect actionable data to improve general procurement processes. o Drive compliance with Airbus General Procurement and related processes through strong communication with internal customers. o Responsible for activities between assigned customers and buyers including coordinating proposals for SLA change requests and clarifying agreements to ensure customer satisfaction. Fulfillment Responsibilities: o Responsible for all Operational, Tactical and Local Sourcing activities for assigned teams/organizations. o Monitor and, when needed, initiate actions to facilitate timely payment to the supplier minimizing disruption of Airbus processes. o Resolve general procurement process blockages and recommend solutions to operational and organizational problems. o Drive implementation and manage on-going operations to maximize customer satisfaction and internal operational efficiencies and guide achievement for the transition of activities to meet target scenarios. This includes the ongoing delivery of digital solutions. o Key performance indicators (KPI's) showing service delivery reality and expected service levels for operational ordering, sourcing projects, savings targets, etc. The KPI's and actions are taken based on their output are communicated with internal customers and through the General Procurement organization. o Global Sourcing Strategy Formulation & Support for IM Services Support Airbus ICT organizations (or teams) and Information & Communication Technology Commodity (PJI) in creating and formulating the sourcing strategy by providing data about local suppliers. o "Local for Global" - Identification of key/niche areas where the company can plan offshoring and manage the complete outsourcing cycle in alignment with the PJI commodity strategy. o "Local for Global" As most of the worldwide IT providers are headquartered in the US, act as primary procurement contact for these suppliers in alignment with the PJI commodity strategy. o Perform "Local for Local" procurement activities in alignment with the PJI commodity strategy, based on GP terms and regulations. o Procurement Marketing (Generate Sourcing demand working with Airbus group procurement teams), Supplier Identification, New Supplier Development, Selling offshoring benefits to internal stakeholders. o Support standardization by sharing with North America IM management visibility on global contracts. Animate regional supply base (as part of global contracts) to make sure suppliers apply rules, standards, process as negotiated globally. o Supplier Relationship Management - Responsible for building relations with suppliers of IM services, and identifying new vendors. o Governance - Participation North America IM management meetings and secure visibility of ongoing regional needs towards PJI commodity. Define governance plans and track project/relationship health o Support Commodity Multi Divisional Teams (MDT) in RFX Process with IM services suppliers with inputs on negotiation, costing & contractual discussions. Savings Program Support o Develop operational methods and procedures which support savings program targets at local and site levels. Escalate blockages to Regional Director, if needed. o Collaborate with Commodities and Central Savings Program Team to achieve the benefits of local sourcing activities. o Report savings to the One Roof organization in a timely way through the standard mechanisms. Local Team Management o Provide leadership, direction and establish realistic and achievable goals for each team member including regular feedback, training and recognition consistent with achievements. o Represent the group and individual team members to HR and relay HR policies and procedures to team members encouraging direct contact whenever possible and appropriate. o Develop and manage according to approved budget and headcount levels and implement operational goals that achieve specified results. Perform other duties as assigned and set expectations for the same level of flexibility in subordinates. Additional Responsibilities: Drive non-flying procurement contributions to projects affecting assigned teams/organizations. This includes serving as the focal point for major capital investments and if applicable, the ramp-up of manufacturing activities with all associated non-flying procurement inputs. Ensure strong liaison with all GP in the Americas, GP in Europe and relevant business partners. In this context, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of objectives in accordance with Airbus project management methods. Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: (Please provide requirements for technical, behavior and dexterity skills.) * A minimum of seven (7) years of extensive business experience in Procurement, Supply chain or Sales, Pre-Sales, Strategy & Business Development, Engineering Services. Preferred experience with an increasingly higher level of authority and accountability. * Knowledge of ICT Services Industry, Risk Management & Business Case Analysis & TCO Approach. * Procurement process and advanced negotiation skills. * Project Management Excellent skills to motivate multi-functional teams in situation of often conflicting objectives (Internal Customer, Supplier, Budget) to perform in-country RFPs and procurement projects. * Knowledge of North American supplier base and cost structure. * Awareness of applicable Laws (labor, IP, international trade). * Knowledge of additional functions including finance, negotiation and communication skills. * Demonstrated effectiveness as a participant and leader on a work-focused team. * Strong adherence to ethics & compliance. Education / Special Qualifications: (Certifications, Licenses, Clearances required) A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (MS preferred) or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in written and verbal English. Fluency in French, German and/or Spanish is highly desirable.
