POSITION: Senior Account Executive (SAE)

DEPARTMENT: Public Relations

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years

REPORTS TO: PR Department Lead

The Position:

A strong SAE possesses well-honed skills in the full range of PR strategies and tactics (including but not limited to press releases, media relations, collateral development, thought leadership, corporate communications, community relations programs) with a strong focus on developing and executing compelling media relations and PR programming for our clients. This professional will be a strategic thinker who understands PR's role and impact, and one who has demonstrated experience in the development and execution of PR programs, particularly in the context of integrated engagements - working closely with Content, Creative, Digital and Client Relationship Management.

The Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong understanding of the PR landscape, and measurement and analytics.

  • Comfortable pitching, selling ideas and concepts to others.

  • Helps to grow and maintain client relationships as part of an integrated team by delivering top quality work, working collaboratively with others, and constantly watching for new opportunities.

  • Provide strategic and tactical counsel to clients that helps achieve clients' business goals.

  • Lead/own and execute PR projects; independently accountable; develop, oversee and manage complex PR work.

  • Coach and mentor junior team members; collaborate with team members in Account Management and across departments to deliver strategic and creative PR work for clients.

  • Monitor, measure and report performance on builds and campaigns; regularly monitor and create ROI and performance reports for PR work.

  • Monitor PR channels on a daily basis for latest trends and case studies.

The Essentials:

  • Billable target of 90%.

  • Agency experience required; integrated agency preferred.

  • Health care industry knowledge and experience is strongly preferred.

  • Must exhibit a demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful PR and media relations programs, and have knowledge of monitoring and analytical tools with an ability to synthesize data

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal, written, and over the phone.

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

VIEW JOBS 3/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-06T00:00 Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Senior Account Executive to build and develop strategic customer relations in assigned targeted markets in the Southeast with the primary purpose of accelerating sales opportunities in the major retail environment. The Sr. Account Executive must successfully identify, plan, and communicate proactively with strategic customers to drive sales and open developing/emerging markets. Operating in an assigned territory, the Sr. Account Executive will utilize an entrepreneurial spirit and sales intellect to reach key decision makers at large, multi-store retailers and provide customer on-boarding expectations and tools to drive sales and profits. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years' proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility. Previous selling to and managing Dollar General is preferred. At least 3 years' experience utilizing syndicated data; excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights is a must. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proven experience using large volumes of data, product knowledge and customer familiarity and successfully applying it to negotiation strategies and strategic selling/account leadership is a must. This position requires an analytical and goal-oriented mindset with an ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to meet the day's objectives. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software, and familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred. The position requires 20% travel and is based in the Southeast. Senior Account Executive responsibilities: * Build brand equity and profitably, increasing the sales volume on all assigned brands. * Achieve assigned sales quota through the maintenance and expansion of distribution, merchandising and promotional activity for each assigned brand. * Build strategic partnerships with the Dollar customers by integrating Inner company and the Dollar Channel customer's strategic initiatives. * Identify opportunities to maintain and expand distribution on existing business and find unique opportunities for incremental sales and profit. * Develop & execute promotional programs & off-shelf display support to create incremental revenue and expand the brand reach among Dollar Channel Shoppers. * Build strong cross functional partnerships internally, and consistently share best practices. * Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directions for the fulfillment of company objective and to maximize profits from sales. * Be alert to competitive products and merchandising practices; keep management informed as updates are known. * Prepare weekly sales reports and expense reports as required. * Prepare and submit special reports, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions, as may be requested by management or as observed in the marketplace. * Ensure observance of safe work practices to include the immediate work area, visits to customer sites and operation of a vehicle used for company business.
