We're looking for a Senior Account Executive who will help us drive net-new opportunities with mid sized companies and meaningfully impact customers' business goals. You will work in a fast paced sales environment selling Hootsuite and our partner ecosystem solutions to prospective customers. You will be responsible for sourcing your own pipeline through business development and prospecting as well as partnering with SDRs. You will use your sales skills to educate prospective customers on the benefits and value of Hootsuite solutions and manage the end to end sales process, helping our customers choose Hootsuite as their Social Media Management partner. While based in Hootsuite's soon to open Atlanta office you will report to the Director of Sales. This is a hybrid work from home/in an office environment.


  • Prospect and generate your own leads in order to achieve individual quota targets

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with mid size companies. You will partner with our pre & post sales teams to ensure customer success and long term value

  • Collaborate with sales leaders and relevant stakeholders to drive the entire sales process, including the negotiation of scope and business terms, ensuring customer value is prioritized

  • Create and execute on the quarterly sales and account plans that drive high volume activities for your assigned territory

  • Effectively navigate fast sales cycles and present the value of our solutions to all levels of prospective customers, including C-Level executives

  • Recommend and sell relevant solutions by offering related product mix from the range of Hootsuite products to solve clients business challenges

  • Serve as voice of the customer by sharing external market insights and feedback from prospects and customers to the Product and Marketing teams in order to drive improvements and product/feature requests

  • Perform other related duties as required


  • Demonstrated applicable B2B outbound sales experience (experience in software considered an asset)

  • Proven ability to prospect with a thorough process, assess customer challenges, align solutions and read prospective buyers

  • Demonstrated ability to predictably forecast, leverage data driven insights in decision making within the sales process and simultaneously manage a high volume of opportunities and transactions

  • Proven ability to successfully collaborate and build trust based relationships with teams such as Presales, Customer Success, Executive Leadership, etc throughout the sales process

  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and their teams, and building consensus at speed among multiple, cross-functional decision makers and influencers in a company

  • Experience using sales tools such as SFDC, Sales Navigator, 6Sense

  • Exposure to a line of business such as Marketing, Sales, Finance where you have learned and applied direct knowledge of business challenges issues to your solution.

  • Proven record of consistent quota attainment and can share experiences of developing business plans with a mix of tactics.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (phone, video, email)

  • Adaptable and able to manage through a fast paced, constantly changing environment

To learn more, please visit: The Role The Senior Account Executive interacts with clients on a day-to-day basis while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. This individual will prepare applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of assigned clients with little to no supervision from their Supervisor on difficult lines. This role requires the employee to take on the role of lead consultant and primary point of contact for clients. The Senior Account Executive may work on large, complex accounts with large premiums and multifaceted coverages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers. * level facilitates requests and needs of the carriers on behalf of NFP's clients. * Works with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients. * Requires expertise in multi-line accounts with more complex coverages including retrospective rating plans for large lines of coverages and foreign packages. * Maintains a diary (follow-up system) to ensure policies, endorsements and other information is received to comply with requests * May supervise and direct the daily job activities of the Coordinators, Account Managers and Account Executives. * Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, and clients through regular contact and client visits. * Keep clients apprised of appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues. Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: * Excellent written communication skills - writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. * Self-confident to make sound independent decisions * Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities * Strong leadership skills * Must be able to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports * Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner Education and/or Experience: * BA/BS preferred * Typically more than 8 years industry and product line experience.
