About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to support our corporate team.

You'll collaborate within the team, provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients, and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. Specific duties include:

  • Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts & proactively manage correspondence

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time and on budget

  • Develop and manage media relations programs including maintaining quality programs with trade, business, and vertical press and sustain key editorial contacts

  • Plan and implement press conferences, seminars, speakers' bureau, and other special events

  • Research, interview, write, and edit news releases other media materials, fact sheets, message maps and other materials as needed.

  • Develop key messages in keeping with clients' objectives and craft and develop newsworthy pieces based off the key messaging

  • Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the "big picture" of the client program

  • Coach junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise & delegate tasks as necessary

  • Assist with new business

About You

You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, resourceful, tenacious, have an understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the media landscape, and drive great results for clients while building great relationships with your clients and your team.

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations or related communications field

  • 3-5 years of experience in PR; agency experience with corporate experience preferred

  • Excellent writing skills, demonstrated experience crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, contributed articles

  • Proven success in building relationships with members of the media, and driving results for clients

  • Strong presentation skills, with experience working directly with clients and actively participating in client meetings

  • Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines

  • Demonstrates the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs, fearless in presenting a point of view in brainstorms

  • Proficient in MSOffice, specifically PowerPoint

  • Highly organized

Overview of the Role We are seeking an Account Supervisor of Corporate Affairs. You will support the team through media relations, industry and company research, development of press materials, management of client accounts, and strategic planning. Responsibilities: * Demonstrate writing excellence when crafting internal and client materials and correspondence * Set and lead both traditional and social media relations course * Craft strategic pitches, actively build relationships with media, and execute on pitching media * Use relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs * Oversee financial and operational performance of multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence * Counsel clients and troubleshoot client and internal issues * Supervise staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedback * Introduce clients to new capabilities, initiate new business process and display strong presentation skills during client pitches Qualifications: * At least four years of full-time experience in public relations and/or related fields * Preferably experience with corporate clients or in-house at a corporate institution, in a communications function. * Must have strong contacts and working relationships with local and national news media * Ability to demonstrate excellent storytelling skills, and provide sound, level-appropriate media counsel with all levels of client contacts * Proven management and leadership skills * Ability to manage the media budgets and team on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals * Ability to write strategic media plans and a variety of media materials with limited oversight * Keen interest and high awareness of current events * Solutions-oriented mindset * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, advertising, journalism, business) Edelman New York NY
