This is a longer-term internship with a minimum 6-month engagement.

As a Semiconductor IC Fab Process Development Intern, you will apply your semiconductor process and physics coursework to a variety of focused hands-on projects. You will be part of a world-class team creating state-of-the-art III-V semiconductor technologies. Projects will relate to semiconductor process development and improvement, and will be released to production in Keysight's semiconductor fab. Projects may be focused on PECVD, dry etch, electroplating, die fab operations, FIB/SEM...etc. This is an opportunity to develop real-world experience in a company that is a leader in the markets it serves.

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of senior year or pursuing graduate school in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics at an accredited 4-year university.

  • Experience with advanced microelectronics processes is essential.

  • Specific skills in III-V device physics and processing are desirable.

  • Experience with electrical test, materials characterization and device modeling software is highly desired.

  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter-group and intra-group interactions.

  • Must be highly motivated to accomplish all the tasks required to meet aggressive product development schedules and world class manufacturing expectations.

Keysight Technologies has an opening for a Semiconductor Device Test Development Engineer at the High Frequency Technology Center in Santa Rosa, California. Be a key consultant crafting on-wafer microwave device and process control measurements and building and optimizing robust, maintainable production tests to characterize Keysight's own state-of-the-art devices and circuits. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working with both Keysight's latest measurement equipment and the process technologies that make them great. The successful candidate will use microwave test equipment and software to measure devices (InP and GaAs), engage our device, process, and measurement experts, and develop solutions that span R&D technology development testing and production ramps to volume. Apply a solid working knowledge of RF/microwave/millimeter wave measurements, on-wafer measurement and probing, work with software experts to facilitate automation, build new measurement solutions, and enhance or migrate existing high-value solutions. Move the needle on the process technology team's research and development efforts and improve the quality of manufacturing measurements while helping manage our portfolio of production tests. Job Qualifications Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of in RF/Microwave design and/or Experience with on-wafer microwave test and calibration. (Masters with 3+ years, PhD with1+ years of experience) * Excellent understanding of RF/Microwave theory and test instrumentation * Experience with on-wafer microwave test and calibration * Knowledge of software engineeringis required; Experience with C# or equivalent modern language desirable, must achieve rapid proficiency with 3+ languages * Ability and desire to work on rapidly paced projects with several design tasks * Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team in multiple functional areas (R&D, Operations, Maintenance) * Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.
