We have an exciting opportunity for a Seed Quality Testing Analyst to join our company at our Johnston IA Seed Quality facility.

In this role you will support Supply Production & Supply Chain (SP&SC) and research activities with emphasis on managing seed germination activities and supplying reliable data indicative of the sample tested, in a timely and accurate manner. Provide technical support for development and implementation of quality testing protocols and for routine and nonroutine analysis. Monitor testing to ensure that protocols are applied and to ensure Corteva Agriscience policies, procedures, and business objectives, standards and quality guidelines are met.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct activities in accordance with AOSA, ISTA, customer specifications, plans, work instructions, and any other regulatory protocol governing testing.

• Assist in the onboarding and training of seasonal contingent workforce.

• Support team leadership by helping guide team through day-to-day workflow to meet metrics.

• Lead tour groups through lab space.

• Ensure critical equipment is in good working order and perform periodic maintenance/calibration.

• Aid in the documentation requirements of the Quality Management System.

• Troubleshoot technology and collaborate with IT on internal improvements/fixes.

• Ensure results are accurately entered daily. Communicate concerns related to quality, testing, and equipment to manager.

• Provide and assist in analysis and evaluation of data to determine quality of seed based on quality testing results with Research, Quality Supply and appropriate Marketing and Sales personnel.

• Assist in the design and implementation of new testing protocols.

• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment in compliance with Safety and Health guidelines and housekeeping practices.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Biology, or related field of study.

What Skills You Need:

• You have at least 1 year of experience working with advanced seed testing activities and equipment, germination testing, or similar seed quality functions.

• You have good organization, prioritization and time-management skills in order to multi-task.

• You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and tend to pick up quickly on new software.

• You have technical aptitude and proven capability to trouble-shoot.

• You have experience training others in new tasks and processes.

• You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work both independently and in a team environment.

• You are willing and able to stand/sit for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive work.

• You are willing and able to work a daytime schedule with overtime hours including weekend work as needed during seasonal peaks.
