Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Integration is looking for a successful Technician that will be responsible for the installation and completion of multiple worldwide electronic security projects for various customers.

Role Responsibility:

  • Self performs and manages subcontractors in the installation of intrusion detection, access control, IP Video & CCTV and data communication systems. On-site work will include installation and configuration of head-end computer systems, installation, termination, and calibration of field devices and sensors, and installation of communication infrastructure including conduit, enclosures and fiber optic cables.

  • Assists System Engineers with installation plans.

  • Assists in site surveys. Assists in developing cost estimates and procuring equipment and installation materials.

  • Completes job status reports, travel expense reports, safety logs, as-built drawings, and other documentation as required.

  • Organizes and coordinates weekly meetings to discuss installation activities, changes, and developments with the customer and site personnel.

  • Conducts government-witnessed testing of installed systems with Project Superintendent or Systems Engineer.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Ideal Candidate:


  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Some Technical school training a plus
  • 4+ years of field experience
  • experience with intrusion, Access Control, CCTV security systems required.
  • IP video and IT experience preferred
  • must be able to pass a drug screening and posses a valid driver's license,

Successful candidates will gain practical research experience to further educational goals, while providing technical and/or research support to projects in the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computational engineering, nuclear and chemical engineering, or other related fields. Essential Duties At the Undergraduate Level (Non-Exempt): * Work directly with engineers, scientists and technical mentors to perform technical and/or research assignments in the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computational engineering, nuclear and chemical engineering, or other related fields. * Under close supervision, will participate in research in assigned area. * Gather and analyze data or information in support of scientific research. * Utilize standard software packages common in your discipline to complete common tasks. * Attend relevant seminars and facility tours. * Perform other duties as assigned. In Addition, at the Graduate and Recent Grad Level (Exempt): * Conduct research in assigned area under limited direction and supervision * Perform technical assignments of a basic degree of complexity and provide advanced technical support to engineers and scientists in scientific research and development projects. Qualifications At the Undergraduate Level (Non-Exempt): * Must be a college or university student in good academic standing enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science or a related field. * A sustained record of outstanding academic performance. * Ability to work full time for ten to twelve weeks during the summer months. * Ability to apply basic engineering or scientific principles to solve technical problems. * Communication skills necessary to communicate research project(s), document work and give a technical talk/presentation. * Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas. * Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment. * Experience working with personal computers and familiarity with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In Addition, at the Graduate and Recent Grad Level (Exempt): * Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing a graduate degree or a recent graduate within one year. * Demonstrated academic achievement in a scientific curriculum. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Experience applying advanced engineering or scientific principles to solve technical problems.
