Corbett Technology Solutions, Inc. (CTSI,) located in Chantilly, VA, has an immediate opening for a Security Technician, Level 2.
Communicate scope of work, project timeline, project design, and budget for small to medium projects to management and client.
Accountable for the successful completion of project to include:
Quality of work
Customer satisfaction (project closeout)
Assemble and install small to medium low voltage systems with minimal guidance.
Coordinate with various company departments, management and clients to ensure smooth work flow.
Troubleshoot complex systems, identify problems, and resolve problems.
Coordinate with Project Manasger to direct team of technicians to meet project requirements.
Ensure materials are available at job site.
Ensure job site is cleaned daily.
Knowledge of had tools, test/setup equipment and company machinery. Demonstrate ability to train others in use.
Read/understand technical drawings, programming and installation guides.
Expanded knowledge of various low voltage systems.
Arrive for work as directed.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, management and peers. Ability to make presentations to management, clients, others as directed.
Advanced computer skills and software knowledge to include MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and other company software and job required software/programs.
Develop goals, prioritize and organize tasks to accomplish the project.
Anticipate and resolve problem/changes; seek assistance as required.
Function as team leader in specific area of expertise.
Guide and direct team of technicians, Set performance standards and daily tasking.
Maintain professionalism in high stress situations.
Must be able to occasionally travel overnight.
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum: At least 2 years of experience working with Access control Systems, Intrusion Detection and CCTV. Formal training in electronics, knowledge and certification in telecommunications, security and fire alarm systems required. Installation and Service of Microm, Brivo, Avigilon, Ademco, Bosch or similar manufacturers.
Applicant must be a self-starter, able to lead multiple projects simultaneously, must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and thrive in a construction environment. Other job duties include material management and time & schedule management.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to climb a ladder and work from heights.
Must be able to work in the elements.
