Job Summary:

The Security Systems Technician performs or assists with installation, programming and checkout of systems and service installed jobs. Systems include, security, access control, CCTV, audio and mass notification systems.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program and Installation of Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings

  • Provide leadership on small projects

  • Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s)

  • Provide leadership on small projects.

  • Perform work with complete working knowledge of above systems

  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting and repairs

  • Understand all phases of construction, maintain project documentation and create red-lined field drawings according to Company policies and procedures

  • Adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Tools: Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver all sizes (regular and Phillips,), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (adjustable, needle nose, lineman), hammer, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, flashlight and gloves. Multimeter, butt-set, toner/wand, coax compression and/or hex crimp tool.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and present a professional image.

  • Must possess critical thinking skills as well the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s)

  • Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s)

  • Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements

  • Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed

  • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency

  • Must possess a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in security installation

  • Must know or possess the knowledge to learn Company/industry codes

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook )

  • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds

  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones

  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Information Systems Security Analyst to join the Information Security team in San Diego, CA. The Cyber Security organization has overall responsibility for providing information security oversight to all Northrop Grumman classified systems under their respective purview. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments. * Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining Certification & Accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. * Assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities. * Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. * Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports. * Coordinate and prepare the Body of Evidence for Accreditation and Authorization activities and update and report on the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M as required. * Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. ESCSO ITS3500 Basic Qualifications: * Master's degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience; OR an Associates degree with 4 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience is required * Must have a DoD 8570 IAM level 1 security certification (example: Security CE); OR must be able to obtain and maintain one within 6 months of start date * Candidate must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (or higher) with an original adjudication date, or a periodic reinvestigation, completed within the last 6 years in order to be considered * Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment Preferred Qualifications: * The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Cyber Security, a current Security CE, and 1 year of ISSO experience using RMF in a DSS or JSIG classified environment * Knowledge of ACAS, NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP, POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, NISPOM, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and JSIG package development are highly desirable * Top Secret clearance, or current SAP/SAR level access, would be preferred Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
