As a Security Specialist you will:
- Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
- Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.

A week in the life of an Security Specialist:
- Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
- May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
- Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
- Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.
- Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
- Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
- Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees. Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma
- 5+ years of relevant DoD/IC security related experience.
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.
- Previous experience administering and coordinating DoD or other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
