As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day security posture of Zone's global hybrid . You will collaborate closely with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure secure operations of IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and on-premises workloads.
The right candidate must thrive in high-pressure situations and take the right actions in the right timeframes to mitigate risks.
We are looking for an individual who can balance technical risks against risks and consistently drive for the right results.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Excellent collaboration and communication
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Experience with Incident Response / Operations or addressing breaches, incidents
Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies (e.g., Vmware, KVM, Openshift)
Systems administration, public cloud experience, and familiarity with open source offerings
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Industry certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training and certification
Knowledge of Industry Security & Privacy Regulations (e.g., ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, FFIEC, GDPR)
Knowledge of IBM Security Tooling (e.g., AccessHub, IBM Inventory, MAD, Crowdstrike, Cognos Reporting)
Experience with Power, Z, and Storage platforms
