You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the CURRENT OPERATIONS and FUTURE PLANNING DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.

You will analyze revisions to initiatives of the Operations Security (OPSEC) program to identify the need for local process revisions.
You will plan and conduct mock continuity of operations planning and disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies.
You will analyze existing Anti-terrorism/Force Protection plans to recommend new policy and counter measures.
You will identify countermeasures that can be deployed to mitigate criminal and terrorism threats and estimate their cost effectiveness.
You will plan, organize, and direct long-range forecasts of Anti-Terrorism requirements and Anti-Terrorism training programs affecting the region.
You will administer and direct the Information, Physical, Personnel, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, and Industrial programs according to Dept. of Defense and Navy regulations, instructions, and policies.
You will coordinate training to provide realistic Anti-Terrorism training by writing and assisting with the exercises and drills.
You will conduct a Vulnerability Assessment (VA) in conjunction with other Anti-Terrorism Working Group members.
You will prepare a Threat Matrix to show security and procedural countermeasures are economically designed to counter or mitigate threats or vulnerabilities.
You will direct the development of threats, risks, and vulnerability assessments and their integration into an overall Risk Management Plan for the command.
You will write security plans, studies, and instructions to identify and monitor long-term issues pertaining to security disciples (e.g., Anti-Terrorism, Physical Security, Information Security).
You will use information technology tools (e.g., databases, word processing, spreadsheets, internet) to create documents, research, and track information.
You will liaise with the intelligence community and other agencies to stay abreast of changes in security laws and regulations.

This position requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, carrying, and similar movements as well as agility, stamina, and dexterity.
Due to the nature of the assignment (i.e. investigating, time of day, emergency situations) physical demands may be increased and require physical exertion.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .Ability to analyze and evaluate the security operations programs (e.g. Operational security, Counterintelligence, Anti-terrorism) to assess the overall risk management; organize, develop, and integrate an Anti-terrorism training program; interface with a diverse group (e.g. intelligence and security agencies) to resolve high risk security issues; obtain and implement new policies and procedures to manage the overall security program; write security briefings, reports, and curriculum using information tools (databases, spreadsheets, internet).
