You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (CBRNE) in the Current Ops and Future Planning Division of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.

  • You will perform training needs analysis, recommend training, and develop the fiscal year CBRNE training, exercises, and drills.

  • You will compile and develop fiscal year training schedules for review and approval by the MCIEAST regional CBRNE PM.

  • You will review, update, and generate CBRNE training materials for all CBRNE/Hazardous Material (HazMat) instruction and provide input annually to the Marine Corps Installation Command (MCICOM) Course Curriculum Review Board.

  • You will develop and conduct training for CBRNE response to include technical analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, verification, and validation of the training program.

  • You will provide support as needed in developing and providing additional training to installation emergency response personnel in regards to the care, use, and basic maintenance of issued CBRNE equipment.

  • You will provide technical support for the MCIEAST CBRNE Installation Protection Program for CBRNE detection, decontamination, and personnel protective equipment.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and conducting Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosives (CBRNE) equipment training programs, exercises and drills, and providing technical support for the CBRNE protection program (e.g., CBRNE detection, decontamination and personnel protective equipment) for an organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * Physical security of assigned F35 facilities at MCAS Beaufort * Security efforts in support of the program; this includes security participation of the Pilot Training Center and VFMAT 501 / 502 integration and sustainment activities, F-35 specific Special Access Program support, and the overall execution of contractual security requirements * Control access to all F-35 facilities, providing escort when required, and assisting in the planning, evaluation and execution of program security operations related to Special Access Program Facilities and Operations IAW current program and regulatory guidance. * Provide assistance to other security team members, as appropriate * Additional duties as required * Position will support 1st shift but mission requirements may require a change with respect to primary shift assignment (i.e. candidate may be required to work a different shift than the one identified in this job requisition.) Basic Qualifications: 1. Current Initial Secret Security Clearance Investigation within 6 years from the Investigation close date 2. Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) Access. 3. Knowledge of DoD 5205.07 SAP Volumes. 4. Excellent written, verbal and customer interface skills. 5. Prior experience working with or implementing security plans and operations. Desired Skills: 1. Periodic Reinvestigation within the last six years. 2. Knowledge of F-35 Program Security requirements. 3. Experience working on Special Access Programs. 4. Prior experience with GSA containers and document control. 5. Experience working in a dynamic Military environment and be able to successfully interact daily with senior ranking USMC commissioned officers and key GOV stakeholders with confidence, poise and professionalism. 6. Comfortable making decisions autonomously and successfully operating in a military flying operations environment. Previous experience in military leadership and decision-making roles would be beneficial. 7. Familiarization of Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). 8. Knowledgeable user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. 9. Experience working in SAP arena. 10. Access Control and Physical Security experience ability to perform assigned tasks and 3 Years of experience.
