Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience in corporate security environment.

  • Intermediate language skills, including ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, or regulatory agencies.

  • Intermediate reasoning skills, including ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), E-mail, and database software.

  • Top Secret clearance

  • JPAS experience

  • eQIP experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process clearance paperwork for both initial and reinstatement of government security clearances.

  • Transmit briefing packages for presentation to the newly cleared employee.

  • Create and maintain personnel security folders.

  • Interact daily with Project Managers, Project Administrators, cleared and non-cleared applicants.

  • Conduct quality control audits that consist of updating records, termination files, and security files in different states of completeness.

  • Act as a liaison between the applicant and the customer.

  • Input security questionnaire information into IRMA and Excel.

  • Prepare documents for credentialing.

  • Function as courier between corporate office and the customer site.

  • Conduct security briefings and debriefings.

  • Schedule and prepare for monthly training classes.

  • Present security briefings at monthly training sessions.

  • Process access requests and badge requests through customer.

  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to the customer to include the number of cleared investigators, pending clearances, etc.

  • Safeguard, store, transmit, reproduce, and destroy classified material.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
