Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate Security Shift-Supervisor. To demonstrate success in this role, you must have proven leadership skills to build and optimize our team at this prestigious location! We seek leaders that inspire the best from their employees and have the ability and desire to mentor, train, and help their staff grow! In managing this on-site security force, Security Shift-Supervisor provides the leadership, direction, guidelines and procedural framework within which the staff will operate.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Able to obtain a valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Preferred Experience:

  • Call Center/Security Operations Center Experience

  • CCTV and Alarm Monitoring Experience

  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

  • Crowd control experience

  • Building evacuation

  • Response to fire, medical, emergencies, and natural disaster

  • Knowledge of the Incident Command System

The Role: The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the security department and staff within the venue. Duties may also include management functions under the direction of the Security Manager and Operations Manager. Job Functions: * Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests. * Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to guest inquiries and complaints, * Lead staff, ongoing staff training, staff positioning, ensuring that all staff members are well-informed on event specific details and managing breaks. * Assist the Security Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department, as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations. * Oversees productivity and work assignments of the security staff and communicates with the Security Manager (or designated Manager) any challenges and status of all assignments prior to the conclusion of the shift. * Train and evaluate security team members in venues. * Assign and schedule team members to specific duties. * Role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities. * Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. * Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * At least 2 yrs experience in a similar role.
