JOB SUMMARYSecurity Shift Managers provide work direction to Security Officers and Supervisors and assumes responsibility in the absence of the Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to department service standards of being attentive, professional and having a quick response.
Responsible for assisting the Security Manager with hiring, interviewing and organizing training to maintain adequate staffing.
Develops staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates. Delegates authority and assign responsibilities.
Responsible for observation and evaluation of guests who may be intoxicated.
Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
In the absence of the Security Manager, the Security Shift Manager assumes overall command and control of the emergency response procedures, including response drills and evacuations.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
3 + years of experience in security, surveillance and patron/property liability of high volume business or industry.
Ability to perform multiple assigned duties under frequent time pressures
Valid state driver's license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Frequent pushing, pulling, bending and walking.
Intermittent sitting at a desk or company vehicle.
Work area is both indoors and outdoors and subject to variable temperatures.
May be subject to smoking environment, moderate noise and bright lights.
