Requirements and Competencies

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a valid state driver's license

  • Must have at least 1 year supervisory or management experience within security, law enforcement, or military fields or 2 years' experience in the Security Officer role at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment

  • Must have a valid Florida Class D Security license or able to obtain D license within 90-days of employment.

  • Must be able to complete provided CPR training/certification

  • Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, properly lift 75 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds

  • Must be comfortable working around water

  • Must be comfortable with heights

  • Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws desired

  • Florida G License preferred

Primary Responsibilities

  • Train & develop Security Officers on a continuous basis, to include providing performance evaluations

  • Ensure officers demonstrate the required skills to successfully execute procedures and enforce policies which are outlined in the Security Standards

  • Ensure all posts are properly and effectively supervised

  • Patrol areas to monitor officers' performance and inspect uniforms and equipment

  • Evaluate, oversee, and track the department budget and daily staffing and scheduling needs in the absence of the Captain

  • Respond to significant incidents that occur during shift; provide guidance and leadership necessary to ensure the needs of guests and employees are met to Company standards

  • Assist with overseeing the department compliance with certifications/licensing and enforcement of safety requirements

  • Ensure that officers have inspected all bags and vehicles to prevent the introduction of contraband and/or the removal of company assets; monitor all vehicles and employees entering and exiting the park to ensure all are authorized to do so

  • Interact with guests and other SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica employees to ensure a secure environment exists wherein the park functions without incident

  • Responsible for working with public to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusion

  • Complete incident reports as necessary

  • Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Assist local public service providers as necessary for the safety, security and wellbeing of park guests, employees and company assets

Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet information system security requirements. Utilizes operating system internal and third-party tools (e.g. Splunk/Nessus/SCAP) to analyze systems and audit logs to identify anomalies, threats, potential vulnerabilities, and configuration errors on the system. Triage system scan results and analyze audit events to prioritize follow-up corrective action and/or investigation activities. Assess and mitigate information system vulnerabilities, configuration errors, and security threats/risks throughout the system's lifecycle. Develops, executes and maintains a continuous monitoring plan to validate information protection effectiveness. Validates system configuration and settings in accordance with government regulatory compliance requirements as well as internal counter‐espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation). Validates system security requirements definition and analysis; establishes system security designs; implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning, testing, and liaison activities. Provides support to ensure secure systems operations and maintenance. Performs system user education and/or briefings. Basic Qualifications Experience working with classified information systems. Ability to author security plans, maintain accreditations, ability to perform technical certifications for accredited systems. Must possess and maintain 8570 requirements such as CISSP, Network+, or Security+ certifications or must be able to obtain within 180 days of start date. This position requires applicants to have a final Secret security clearance with a background investigation performed within the last six years. Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance upon employment. This position also requires an enhanced security review in accordance with Government contract requirements and it is a condition of employment that individuals hired into positions requiring program clearance obtain and maintain such clearance within sufficient time to allow Lockheed Martin meet its business needs.
