Become a Security Senior Advisor in Corporate Security at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. As a Security Senior Advisor, you will establish a company-wide program for SCE personnel to gain access to restricted customer sites and coordinate the physical security of SCE assets on military bases. You will be the lead SCE point of contact responsible for establishing a strong relationship with military bases and restricted site leaders to enhance military-SCE coordination. You will be the sole liaison between the company and restricted customer locations for access coordination related to SCE major projects, as well as general access for SCE workers and liaison on security topics.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

• Responsible for establishing company-wide program objectives, managing timelines, risk analysis, and milestones necessary to drive problem solving and issue resolution. Sets strategy and implementation plan and negotiates the implementation of these SCE procedures with military bases to facilitate access and the exchange of sensitive information and influence external customer process changes.

• Analyzes unique and complex technical problems, exercises authority to negotiate, deliver solutions, and establish best practices.

• Performs centralized oversight and administration of SCE personnel access requests to restricted customer sites that are subject to the policies of each military branch and specific site.

• Coordinate's personnel access requests, resolves daily access issues, maintains, and protects sensitive and confidential records, at times responds to emergency access requests for emergency restoration activities, and communicates status of personnel access requests and daily access procedures/requirements.

The essentials

• Ten (10) or more years of experience in Corporate Security, major construction projects, business customer management, law enforcement, military and/or Human Resources.

• Experience working with restricted customer sites and coordinating access on military bases or as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders with a security focus.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

The preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field or an equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience.

• Direct experience with military security protocols.

• Served as a commissioned officer or senior non-commissioned officer within the U.S. military.

• In-depth understanding of military command and operational structure, protocols, and regulations.

• Experience with data analysis software platforms.

• Experience in the electronic management and controls of handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Ability to effectively collaborate closely with internal and external partners at all levels to include senior leadership within SCE and government customers.

You should know

• This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
