What You Will Do
As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Serves as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
Participates in the process of monitoring, guiding and evaluating staff performance.
Contributes to efficient operations by assisting with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow and promoting decision-making and problem solving.
Performs the duties of a security officer.
Models and promotes teamwork and cooperation amongst staff. Reviews staff reports for accuracy, clarity and completeness.
Investigates, documents, and manages security incidents and hazards. Addresses escalated or unresolved issues.
Assists the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities.
What You Will Need
Drivers License credentialed from the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (IL-DMV) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Security Guard credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
