Security Project Specialist

BryComm is seeking a Project Specialist to join our SecurityTeam. This position will be responsible for maintaining the security of an organization's database, ensuring that it's free from cyber threats and unusual activities. Security specialists' duties include upgrading hardware and software applications, configuring networks to improve optimization, addressing any unauthorized access on the database, troubleshooting system discrepancies, conducting security audits on the system, and improving automated processes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination with Service Manager and other trades for the purpose of completing installation projects/service work orders efficiently and within budget
• Installation and/or service of network-based physical and electronic security systems including Access, Intrusion and Video
• Security system programming, configuration and troubleshooting on industry-leading Video, Surveillance and Access Control platforms
• Installation and general knowledge of leading industry hardware solutions
• Prompt response to requests from the Security Service Manager
• Reading plans and specifications and installing cabling/devices

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of security technology installation and troubleshooting experience
• 5 years of experience leading and training an installation team of technicians
• Extensive knowledge of burglar, CCTV, access control, audio, and other related systems
• Knowledge of network configuration to include VPN, routers, gateways, network switches, and infrastructure
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 30 certification immediately upon hire
• Ability to mitigate and resolve third-party conflicts effectively and cost-effectively
• Goal oriented with commitment to achieving daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, including a professional personal appearance
• Commitment to quality work and high standards for individual performance while maintaining a focus on team communication and success
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative requirements
• Industry recognized manufacturer certifications
• Computer skills and experience utilizing smartphones, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to multitask, thrive under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
• Current valid driver’s license
• High School diploma or GED
• Current Texas Security license or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• OSHA 30 certification
• Professional accreditation, degrees or certificates demonstrating competency in particular technical areas
• Experience working in public institutions (schools, municipal buildings, etc)
