Security Operations Center (Soc) Analyst

Hourly Pay Range: $25.54-$28.02

Shift: Part-time with possible rotating shifts

Summary: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst is responsible for day-to-day security threat monitoring and analysis. You will manage security incidents and review security alerts for potential active incidents. Reporting to our Corporate Security Manager, you will work on threat intelligence and incident response that adhere to best practices and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage and develop asset, threat, and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risk.

• Review and triage security alerts, provide analysis, determine, and track remediation, and escalate as appropriate.

• Work with local emergency call centers as incidents arise

• Manage and support the log collection, security CCTV, intrusion detection, and other related security systems.

• Provide troubleshooting of security applications and hardware of covered security areas

• Investigate improper access incidents, give & revoke access, and monitor requests

• Monitor GPS tracking of company assets through software

• Monitor weather / unrest around branch locations to aid in employee safety

• Write reports based off information gathered

Other Functions/Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience preferred. A degree in corporate security management is preferred.

Experience:

• 3-5+ years of relevant security experience

• Prior First Responder (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, etc.) preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of CCTV systems and functions

• Knowledge of Access Control systems and functions

• Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Excel and Access

• The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

• Completes work accurately and in a timely manner.

• Works independently and possesses good judgment skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

• Requires the ability to take charge and provide clear direction to all visitors and employees in the event of a safety or security related situation (i.e., fire or emergency evacuation).

Physical Requirements:

• Requires an average level of physical fitness, ability to move items if required.
