An exciting new opportunity is open for an Server Security Platform Administrator within Deloitte's Security department within Global Technology Services (GTS). Working as part of a newly created global security team, we're looking for the best people to join us and help deliver/support the firm's end point protection capabilities.

We are looking for a Security Platform Administrate to provide technical support and management within the Server Protection team to accomplish their primary goal of protecting the firm's PCs, MACs, servers and mobile devices.

Work you'll do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and configuring the operational environments being provided to Deloitte's network of member firms, which include Advanced Threat protection, Admin Rights Management and removable media protection. Ensuring that they are run as performant as possible and that all security policies and configuration change required are accurately implemented and follow agreed change control processes and timelines.

This role will to support fellow security team members from around the world and be responsible for 4th level support incidents and requests, providing on call work when required.

In this interesting and diverse role you will monitor and handle tickets assigned to the support queues you are assigned to and be available to support any related major incidents when required.

When reviewing service desk tickets, you will be expected to take appropriate action to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, either by leveraging the available knowledge base articles or through your own experience/investigation.

As the platform admin, you will be supported to help build up a deep understanding of the products you will be managing and you will be expected to be proactive and able to respond quickly and efficiently to any product related security and operational events, alert or request that comes to you.

For those issues or requests that you are not able to resolve quickly, you will be expected to escalate them on to either the vendor, the other support tiers within the team or out to other specialist groups, such as Global Incident Response (GIR) if specific criteria is met.

Using your experience and exposure to support calls, you will be expected to play an active role in creating and maintaining knowledge base documents and playbooks that outline the end to end support procedures and inter-team workflows to make the service function as efficiently as possible.

This role will support change management activities (for both product or policy upgrades) within the production environment, working closely with member firms, other in-house teams and 3rd parties were necessary to ensure all changes applied are successful and cascade down to their intended targets.

You will need to respond to GNOC (Global Network Operation Center), SOC, and Member Firm escalations as necessary, and at times help them with their understanding of the Server protection products being used and the support processes they need to follow.

Other duties include monitor the application's performance / system health via the console, carrying out the required daily checks and all administrative level maintenance that's required.

Where necessary assist the service's technical lead/architect and security analyst in testing product or policy upgrades within the appropriate environments and perform other ad-hoc job-related duties as assigned.

This role will be required to support project delivery and change management updates, working closely with member firms or other in-house teams and 3rd parties were necessary.

To be considered for this role, there are certain qualifications you'll have to have. And others that would be really, really nice.

Required:

  • A strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail who can think one step ahead

  • Experience with configuration and deployment of Server protection platforms (Cylance, Symantec, McAfee, Microsoft, admin rights management, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of SCCM and other related tools for package deployments, tracking, reporting, and remediation

  • Knowledge of how to interpret SCCM log files

  • Excellent analytical/problem solving ability, strong influence and negotiation skills,

  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

  • Must be creative and independent thinker with the ability to translate technical requirements and challenges into results.

  • Knowledge of configuration, policy, and event workflows and playbooks.

  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently without direct supervision.

  • You should be well organized and thrive in fast-paced environments

  • Direct experience in supporting security tools e.g. anti-virus, host intrusion detection etc.

  • Experience of working within a service management framework e.g. ITIL

  • Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools

  • Travel is 10% or less

Education and experience:

  • Technology related degree, or suitable industry experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting security platforms and applications

  • Knowledge of Server protection products and vendors within the market

Preferred:

  • Experience in working in a large global organization

  • Professional Qualifications are preferred, including:

  • Microsoft Qualifications Systems Center Configuration Manager Certification desirable but not necessary.

  • Experience of ServiceNow

  • Security training / certification e.g. SSCP/CISM/CEH/CISSP
