Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Officers. Our Security Officers allow us to contribute to our company's core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems and solutions to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses of our communities.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Able to obtain a valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying. We will provide free training for any hires who do not possess a card/license

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Closing

In the Security Industry, a Professional Security Officer may be required to possess a guard card/license depending on the state in which they are employed. The guard card/license is paid for by the owner of the license and becomes the property of that individual.

This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites; generate service revenue; adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements. This position is an entry level position for an employee with limited experience. The focus is learning how to provide an outstanding customer experience, become a viable team member and quickly get up to speed with technical expertise. The Field Service Engineer will learn to work independently as well as in a team environment while under direct supervision. You are responsible for * Work to learn, and establish rapport with customers. * Demonstrate a sense of urgency to identify and assist in identification and resolution of customer issues. Follow the appropriate escalation process. * Adopts best practices and actively participates as a member of regional work team. * Operate under the required knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements. Adheres to established training, quality, and safety requirements. * Performs all administrative duties within established Philips and regulatory timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventative maintenance, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork. * Must be qualified and perform work in at least one modality. May be asked to become qualified in and perform work in multiple modalities. Maintains knowledge of technical advances and current industry trends. Seeks out formal and informal training opportunities. * Assist in the completion of PMs and FCOs and progress to successfully completing all related tasks independently and diagnose and resolve any electronic, network, and mechanical problems with minimal assistance. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience * Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience in the electronics industry, preferably in a field service environment. BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred. * Experience with diagnostic imaging equipment is preferred; Xray, General Rad, CR and DR is ideal * Understand and apply electronic, mechanical and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment. Understanding of mechanical theory preferred. * Strong organizational skills, self-disciplined and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with various levels of employees and customers both verbally and in writing. * Ability to effectively operate in a team driven environment to achieve assigned goals and objectives. * Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance * Have and maintain a valid driver's license. This position will require you to meet all customer specific mandates such as vaccinations and or screening tests. * US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
