The Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center is a new program for the triage, intervention and stabilization of children and adolescents between the ages of 3 through 17, who are experiencing behavioral and psychiatric crisis. This continuum of care includes a crisis and transitional unit that provides brief treatment and/or stabilization in an age appropriate, family centered, trauma informed environment.
The Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center (PCCRC) is currently seeking a Full time Security Officer.
The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the PCCRC, its patients, visitors, staff, employees and invitees against the hazards of crime, fire, other emergencies, and trespassing. Will maintain appropriate behavior of persons and assist in the enforcement of PCCRC rules and regulations. Security Officers need to respond appropriately to delicate patient matters as well as situations that are chaotic, emergent, and on occasion may require physical restraint. Will also provide information assistance and directions to patients, visitors and staff, as necessary.
The ideal candidate will:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
One or more years of police, military police or security guard experience is required.
Valid drives license.
Experience in a healthcare setting or security/customer service related field preferred.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
